Follow-up rhetoric-grammar czech courses (NGK)

Dear clients,

in the week from 6th May 2019 we will open new czech courses. It is mainly a follow-up rhetoric-grammar course for all running levels and courses for beginners and one special course for false beginners. Registration for the courses will take place via the internet on SUNDAY 14th April 2019 at 8 pm. Registration will be possible only through the registration form on the bottom of this page.

All courses finish by the end of June. Their lenght is 12 lectures — 6 weeks. Lenght of one lecture is 2h 30m.

The courses of the Czech language we offer are divided separately for clients with a Slavic mother tongue and for others (“Non-slavic”). Courses for Non-slavics are divided into A1.1 NGK, A1.2 NGK, A2.1 NGK and A2.2 NGK For Slavics, the courses are divided into A1 NGK, A2.1 NGK and A2.2 NGK levels. For Slavics and Non-slavics together we will open levels B1.1 NGK and B1.2 NGK.

NGK courses are developing courses of a shorter duration (36 hours), following the language courses of the above-mentioned levels. These courses will be conceived as an extension of classical grammar courses — it will be a deepening of grammar and other language competences with great emphasis on mastering speaking skills. The second aim of the courses is to impart cultural and social information that supports orientation in the social environment of the Czech Republic and informs about the local way of life.

In the week from 6th May we open Classical grammar courses for Non-slavics beginners as well. They will cover the first half of A1.1 level and the course for Slavs will cover first half of A1 level. The false beginners course covers  level A1.1 in the course A1.1 2/2.

Levels correspond to the Common Frame of Reference (SERR).

Registration procedure for Czech courses:

1. The most important thing is to know which course you belong to.

  1. If you are now attending a grammar course, you will enroll in the same NGK course level. Those who graduated from A1.1 apply to A1.1 NGK, etc.
  2. Slavics cannot register in non-Slavic and non-Slavics cannot regiter in Slavic courses.
  3. You are not allowed to report to levels that do not match you just because you are comfortable with time.
  4. Total beginners will register in A1.1n (A1s) grammar 1/2.
  5. False beginners will register in A1.1 n grammar 2/2.
  6. Everyone who has passed the final test, knows the level. Otherwise it is necessary to come personally to us at the Center of Mezírka 1 before the beginning of the registration and write a test. If you are not sure, come to consult your level with the Czech Methodist BEFORE STARTED REGISTRATION.

Consultation and writing of tests is possible in the following terms:

  • 8.–10.4. at 8:00 and 10:00

Please try to come in time. Later, the lecturer will not be able to provide you full attention.

2. On the day of online registration you will know your level. Select the appropriate course from the menu (watch for Slavic / non-Slavic).

3. Fill in the registration form (at the bottom of this page), which will be opened from 14th April 2019 from 8 pm.

4. Click the “Send” button. Your login will be displayed to Center staff. Do not send the form again, it is sent right after pressing the “send” button.

5. Wait for a confirmation email that will be sent to you within 10 days by the Coordinator. There will be written if you can or cannot go to the course (especially because of the limited capacity of the course).

It is only possible to register for the course via the online form. It is possible to register ONLY IN ONE course. If the lecturer finds that your Czech level does not match the level of the course, you will be excluded from the course. So think carefully about which course you sign up for.

If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Registration is open from 14. 4. 2019 20:00
