Orientation Seminar for Filipino Workers in the Czech Republic
Last week we organized an orientation seminar for Filipino workers in the Czech Republic with the help of the Philippine Embassy. The event took place on May 13th and more than 80 people attended. The Philippine ambassador Eduardo Martin R. Meñez and the Chargé d’affaires Indhira C. Bañares attended in person.
Our director Alena Krejčí introduced services of the center, including information services, Czech language courses, social and legal consultations, multicultural activities, adaptation-integration courses, assistance and interpreting.
Miroslava Zápotočná, an advocate, contributed to the discussion with her presentation on the labor rights and obligations of workers from abroad and shared some tips on how to prevent problems at work. The entire seminar was friendly and interactive, with a live discussion during which questions of the attendees were answered. You can take a look at the photos from the event in our gallery.
